You can change the order in which results citations are listed on the results list. Select one of the following options from the Sort by pull-down menu found at the top of the results list on the right-hand side. Once you have chosen your sort option, the screen will refresh and show your new sort preference.

The sort by relevance, which is the default option for Basic Search, displays the 500 most relevant articles. The relevance sort is not available if you used wildcards in your search. In that case, your results will be sorted by document title, with the option to re-sort by publication title (source). The relevance sort is also not available for Advanced Search.
