Go to the list of all eDirectories.

Section 1: Scope

Telecommunications Directory (TD) profiles organizations, systems, and services worldwide concerned with the delivery of data, voice, text, and/or image from one point to another.

TD also covers a variety of other organizations serving as sources of information or consultation in the telecommunications field, including relevant advertising/marketing firms, associations, consultants, law firms and financial organizations, publishers and information services, regulatory and standards bodies, research organizations, seminar and conference sponsors, and training organizations.

As new types of telecommunications services are introduced, the scope of the Directory will accordingly broaden. Generally excluded from TD are traditional radio and television broadcasting operations (which are covered in the Gale Directory of Publications and Broadcast Media), and organizations whose main purpose is the sale and/or distribution of telephones, PBX/PABX devices, terminals, and similar equipment used to access services operated by others.

Section 2: Method of Compilation

All organizations listed in the previous edition of the Directory were attempted to be verified through various methods. When necessary, these efforts were supplemented by direct contact via telephone calls, research, and other reliable sources. New organizations not previously listed were obtained through industry-related journals, professionals, and the Internet.

Section 3: What You'll Find in a TD Entry and Searchable Fields

Telecommunications Directory (TD) is a comprehensive "onestop" source of information on the products, services, and related activities of rganizations in the telecommunications field in the U.S. and in seven regions worldwide. The main method used to store entries is by organization name; however, there many ways to find entries, including by Keyword, or by some other specific field of data using Advanced Search (refer to the Corresponding Advanced Search Index(es) column in the table below).
